A Beautiful Antique, late 19th C, French Tea Caddy. it is Beautifully and colorfully hand painted foral detail with gold gilding over a rich black lacquerd wood base and this highlights the wonderful craftsmanship of the era. It has a serpentine edge on the top lid and base. When you open the lid it reveals two separate zinc lined compartments. Each compartment lid has a finial. It has 4 bun feet. The hinges work perfectly. There is no key. There is a small area on the lid where the lacquer is worn. It measures 9" across x 6" deep x 5 1/4" in height. It is in wonderful antique condition with only normal age related wear. A wonderful piece that will be a statement wherever you choose to place it.
